【摘要】:Thevariousmethodsformeasuringandcalculatingthermalpropertiesprovidedataandinformationformanufacturer''spublishedinformation,forcomparisonofrelatedproducts,andfordesignersanduserstoevaluateinsulationproductsforparticularapplications.Forthesepurposesitisadvisabletoprovidebasicdataandinformationproducedunderstandardtemperatureconditions.Itispossiblethatthermalpropertiesofaspecimenwillchangewithmeantemperature,withtemperaturedifferenceacrossthespecimens,andwithhightemperatureexposure.Dataandinformationatstandardtemperaturesarenecessaryforvalidcomparisonofthermalproperties.ThemeantesttemperaturestomeasurethermalpropertiesshallbeselectedfromthoselistedinTable1.Itisrecommendedthatthermalpropertiesofinsulationmaterialsbeevaluatedoverameantemperaturerangethatrepresentstheintendedenduse.Forthissituation,thelowestandgreatestmeantemperaturesneedtobewithin10x00B0;Cofthemaximumandminimummeantemperatureofinterest.Thetemperaturedifferencesforanychosenmeantemperaturewilldependuponboththethermalinsulationapplication(seeappropriatematerialsspecification),themethodofevaluation,andthelimitationsoftheapparatus.TemperaturedifferencesorrelevanttemperatueconditionsrequiredbyASTMmaterialspecificationsshalltakeprecedenceoverthoserecommendedinthispractice.Standardconditionsarepresentedwherebothsurfacesareexposedtofixedambienttemperaturesthataretypicalfortestingbuildingconstructions,bothinsulatedanduninsulated(Table2).Standardconditionsarepresentedwherethetemperaturesofthetwosurfacesarefixedandsurfacecoefficientsarenotconsidered(Table3).Forconditionswherethetemperatureofonlyonesurfaceisfixedwiththeotherexposedtofixedambienttemperature,usethemeantemperaturesofTable1.Theseconditionsmustbestatedtodescribeaccuratelythermalpropertiessuchasthermalconductivityversusmeantemperatureforthermalinsulatingmaterials.Thermalinsulationsexhibitinginflectionpointsduetothechangeofstateofinsulatinggases(seeNote2),mustbetestedatsufficientlysmalltemperaturedifferencesbetween(1)thehotandcoldsidesand(2)betweenmeantemperatures.Thetesttemperaturedifferencesuseddependonthevaporpressureversustemperaturerelationshipofthegasesinvolvedandtheabilityofthetestapparatustoprovideaccuratemeasurementsoflowtemperaturedifferences.Note28212;Certainclosed-cellcellularplasticinsulationsareofthistype.1.1Thispracticecoversstandardmeantemperaturesforreportingthermalpropertiesofthermalinsulations,products,andmaterials,andofrelatedsystemsandcomponents,bothinsulatedanduninsulated.1.2Thermalpropertiesshallbedeterminedasafunctionoftemperaturebystandardtestmethods.(TestMethodsC177,C201,C335,C518,C745,C1114,C1363,GuideC653,and......
